>> High Speed Reciprocating Generators
ISI has partnered with Intertech Mechanical B.V. in the Netherlands to provide a custom-designed containerized generator set solution using Cummins QSK50-G4 engines, custom enclosures, and high capacity cooling and high efficiency generators. Our package includes either a 400V/50Hz option which produces 1232kWe of power, or a 480V/60Hz option which produces 1365kWe in prime power configuration. Multiple generators can be paralleled to provide power capacity to meet our client's power demands.
We recommend High Speed Reciprocating Generators for shorter-duration projects of several months up to several years. High speed generators are a best-value choice for customers with a limited budget for initial capital expenditure.
In addition to the Cummins QSK-50-G4 package offered above, ISI works with major global equipment vendors and customizes solutions, including dual fuel (natural gas + DFO) and 100% Natural Gas solutions.

>> Medium Speed Reciprocating Generators
Medium Speed Reciprocating Generators are a class of generator developed around engines operating at fixed speeds in the 500 to 1000 RPM range. Inglett & Stubbs International recommends the 720 and 750 RPM engines from Anglo Belgian Corporation (ABC) for generator applications. They are our trusted partner, producing Medium Speed Reciprocating Engines ranging from 720 to 1000 RPM. We have partnered with Intertech Mechanical B.V. to create a customized package specifically for our customers. Our package includes the option of either a 50Hz or 60Hz generator. We can provide low voltage and medium voltage output to match our customers’ needs (e.g. 400V to 13.8kV). The proper engine and generator configuration will be selected based on many factors to meet each customer’s need.
These generators can run on several fuel types. The options include Diesel, Diesel and Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO), or a Dual Fuel Engine, which combines Natural Gas and Diesel. We recommend using Medium Speed Reciprocating Generators for long-duration projects which can allow for a higher initial capital investment. Generally, the higher initial investment will pay for itself in fuel savings within a few years.

>> Combustion Turbines
ISI offers Combustion Turbines as a third option for power generation in power plants. We recommend using either a Packaged Light Industrial Turbine, or a Packaged Aeroderivative Turbine. The proper turbine will be carefully selected based on available fuel sources and the customers’ connected loads.
These turbines can run on Natural Gas or Liquid Fuels such as Diesel or Kerosene-based Fuels. When operated in a Simple Cycle Configuration, the turbines are most cost efficient when utilizing Natural Gas. When operated in a Combined Cycle Configuration, the overall efficiency of the turbine is improved greatly by capturing the wasted heat from the exhaust and using it to power a steam turbine generator.
ISI recommends Solar Turbines for skid mounted or packaged aeroderivative turbines.
