Project Name:

Design Build MV Project

Project Location:

Undisclosed location Middle East

Client’s Scope:

ISI successfully completed a power distribution project, which included the design and construction of an 11kV site distribution ring that required over 21,000 feet of MV cabling infrastructure, substation procurement and installation (9 x 11kV to 415V Compact Substations & 6 x 4-way 11kV sectionalizing cabinets), installation of 2 x 4MVA transformers, and switchgear & controls modifications to an existing 11kV switchgear which was the primary switchgear for the distribution of power throughout the base. The project aimed to provide reliable power to reduce spot generation utilization on a US Military Base in the Middle East. ISI managed all aspects of the project, including trenching, equipment concrete pads, terminations, and environmental compliance, ensuring adherence to Base and Local Standards. Additionally, ISI prepared and submitted comprehensive O&M manuals and conducted training for maintenance personnel, meeting all contractual requirements and deadlines.

Challenges and ISI Response:

This project was extremely challenging with the initial mobilization of field personnel. This was a fully designed project with ISI publishing full plans, specifications, and a coordination study combining multiple disciplines and Standards.

The Result:

This project was successfully commissioned ahead of the period of performance.

The Details:

ISI’s team designed and constructed a site distribution ring and substations at a U.S. Military Base in the Middle East. The project included trenching, concrete pads, an system terminations. ISI also modified the exiting power plant switchgear. All work was completed on schedule. Ensuring reliable power supply and reducing spot generation dependence. ISI adhered too all local environmental regulations and U.S. DOD guidelines, providing a comprehensive solution that met the projects stringent requirements.
